2011-10-28: Disney Universe, Sweden and whatever…

It was such a long time ago since my last post here that I figured it would be fitting to post an update on the release date of the game I worked on this year. Disney Universe gets out today! If you have a kid or two and a console or a PC, go get it for them.

Alright enough about that. I left England, Eurocom and a lot of super awesome friends to get back to Sweden to work on my reel. I felt that my true passion is in the film and commercial, pre-rendered industry if you like. I missed all the simulation and rendering all-nighters :P

So right now I am working through my Fxphd courses from the July term, that I didn’t got the time to do while still working. Trying to get a good workflow in  The Foundry’s Nuke so I can comp my FX-passes when I get back in production. Widening my skills a bit.  Also of course working on some reel-projects that I think and hope will be the best effects I’ve done so far.

So until the next time, have a good one!

2011-02-09: UK

Yes, as the headline suggests I have now moved to England. Derby more specifically. I were offered a full-time position as FX Artist  at Eurocom Entertainment Software, so nowadays I’m doing effects in games unlike before when I only have been making film with pre-rendered 3D.

I really enjoy the challenge of doing completely new things every day, although I feel like a total beginner again.

This of course won’t stop me from doing vfx, I need my fair piece of photo realistic mayhem =) When my stuff have arrived from Sweden, including my brand new desktop computer, I will keep working on my small projects. Hopefully I get a new DSLR-camera this year so I can shoot my own material to comp my fx with, you gotta dream :)

Until next time, have a good one!

So this is my first finished realflow project. It is really simple, but hey, at least it’s finished right.

Trelleborg- seal, damp & protect

I worked four weeks at King Edward Filmproduktion on this project. I was responsible for settling the look on the illustrations aswell as drawing a couple of them.

When it comes to the 3D, I was responsible for the oilrig sequence of three shots (not the x-ray picture).

2010-08-11: Work, work, update, update

So what is happening here and in my life. First of all the site has got some content updates, mostly here on the homepage with all my contactlinks. I try to be quite active everywhere else than here, posting updates haha. That’s why my twitter were added, atleast there you can see some stuff of what I’m up to, sometimes.

So as far for work, my internship at Ghost ended early June and I graduated from IAA. I wish I get the chance to come back both to Ghost and IAA in the future. During the summer I have been working in Trollhättan for Copenhagen Bombay, on their animated feature movie The Great Bear.

I have also had the time to do the CGworkshop, Realflow in production by Allan Mckay and currently doing the FXPHD for Realflow 5. We’ll see when I get my time around to upload some new FX and R&D stuff, for the near future I will be working on some new stuff for my reel.

So some cool stuff to be seen soon, until then have a great time! (and “Like” my stuff)

2010-04-18: Sorcerer’s Apprentice

Ok, so it was a while since I updated, as usual. Since I started at Ghost in January I have been doing FX for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. First week I was in chock and thought I would have a melt-down of the pressure I gave myself. The first project I was assigned to, ever, would be a Bruckheimer-movie.

But when everything had sinked in, it felt much better, and the team I’m working with have been so great and always willing to help and support with good feedback.

Other than movie-work, I got myself into learning Realflow this week and will continue to expand my skills in that software for the next coming weeks. The plan is to get an R & D section on the site, so hopefully I will be uploading lots of stuff there in the future aswell as beeing better on update this News section.

2010-01-17: 2010 and back again..

Since I posted my reel, a lot have happened.  I have had ten week of diploma work (or what may be the correct translation), the project will soon be uploaded, still minor comp left. My part of the work have been to do the FX so I chose to learn Max with Particle Flow and FumeFX, which I had never used before. It have been a quite challenge to learn and produce quality stuff in a totally fresh program, although a very good and useful experience.

Other than that, I will start my internship tomorrow. I got my position at Ghost VFX in Copenhagen, so since Tuesday I live in Malmö. I think it will be great, I’m really excited about it.

Until next time, have a good one!
